Case1: E-Commerce site to enable members to buy Telecom Products
Requirement: To do system analysis and design for a fortune 500 telecom company, which needs to sell its product range online. It has a strong sales force in the field and needs an impetus through online sales process.
Analysis: A site of this concept would attract advanced and frequent visitors. User’s sole intentions to benefit from the deals are to be assured by securing the site well. This should however not be a very restrictive site considering the growth potential.
Design:
- Restrict product browsing activities to members only. The membership is free.
- Membership registration is very short.
- Restrict product buying activity to advanced members only
- Advance memberships should have more details.
- Extensive usage of Client-side scripting to guide users at all point.
- Database incorporating best of RDBMS concepts with Referential integrity among various tables.
- Enable Session state and identify user at all stages and give a definite time to make page unavailable after that time.
- Use Site-Map to allow target browsing, by advanced users.
- Usage of E-Mail components to inform user of developments.

Requirement: To Develop an web application for Alumni Network of a premier Management Institute. It will encourage cohesion among alumni of the institute.

Alumni to Alumni, Alumni to Institute and Alumni to Student interactions and vice versa.
Design:
- Develop and deploy database on MS SQL Server.
- Develop Administration tool using ASP technology for uploading and manipulating content in site with self driven site concept.
- Modularity with the help of ActiveX Custom Component for data retrievals and submissions.

- A sturdy chat-server system to enhance interactivity among users.
